I am a Specialist Practice District Nursing Student working for MPFT in the Lichfield District Nursing Team. I work in partnership with other professionals to deliver better health, putting patients at the heart of all I do.

At the young age of 16 my nursing career started as a Cadet Nurse, it was this role that determined that I wanted to be a Nurse. Prior to joining MPFT I have many memorable years as a hospital inpatient Staff Nurse, I wanted a career change to be autonomous in my role. My Community Staff Nurse role was simply the first brick that illuminated my professional pathway.

As I walked this path I gravitated towards gaining the District Nurse qualification, the opportunities in MPFT are endless.

When I think about all the patients I have nursed over the years, I know most of them don't remember me. But I do know that I gave a piece of myself to each of them, and those pieces make up the journey in my nursing career.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy family time with my Husband and two sons. I am a football mom as well as Thomas the Tank engine’s number one fan!
