The NHS Constitution establishes the principles and values of the NHS in England. It sets out rights to which patients, public and staff are entitled, and pledges which the NHS is committed to achieve, together with responsibilities which the public, patients and staff owe to one another to ensure that the NHS operates fairly and effectively.
The NHS is committed to making sure that all patients receive high-quality care that is safe, effective and focused on their needs. The NHS Constitution states that all patients have the right to privacy and to be treated with dignity and respect. We believe that providing same-sex accommodation is an effective way of helping to achieve this goal and of giving all patients the best possible experience while they are in hospital.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many of our staff are working from home, and do not have access to letters sent by post to our hospitals.
Therefore, we ask that requests for access to health and social care records are made by email using the forms linked below.

Requests sent by post will be dealt with as soon as possible, but there will be delays.

Safeguarding Children and Adults from Abuse and Neglect is Everyone’s Responsibility
We arecommitted to safeguarding children and adults across the organisation. The welfare of the people who come into contact with our services either directly or indirectly is paramount and all our staff have a responsibility to ensure that best practice is followed, including compliance with statutory requirements.

As part of your care the clinicians involved in your care will be gathering information and forming a view about the nature of your difficulties and the most appropriate care and treatment to help with those needs.
