The Schools Training Team delivers virtual awareness sessions to Staffordshire schools staff as part of the Families' Health and Wellbeing Service (0-19).

The sessions advertised in this section are for school staff only, if you are a non-profit organisation please visit the Staffordshire Non-profit Organisation Training pages for further details.

Our service offers schools virtual sessions on:cartoon image of 3 children jumping

  • Asthma
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Epilepsy
  • Emergency Rescue Medication (Buccal Midazolam) - (this is for named staff required to administer seizure rescue medication in school, if there are no dates advertised please email the training team directly for this training)

Each topic is delivered individually in hourly sessions; the sessions aim to:

  • Increase staff awareness of the topic covered
  • Provide an overview of the needs required for a child in school with these medical conditions
  • Raise awareness of how staff can effectively support pupils within the school setting

Bookings are made from our Eventbrite page on a first come, first served basis.  Sessions are delivered over Microsoft Teams. Please note:

  • Attendees will be required to register individually through Eventbrite to receive the joining link
  • Attendees must join the Microsoft Teams session individually to ensure attendance is verified (even if sharing a screen)
  • Sessions are capped at 100 for each session. We ask for a maximum of 20 staff from any one school to allow other schools equal and fair access to sessions. This will be monitored by the team

A member of the team will send out the joining link on the morning of the session. We do this using the email address inputted into Eventbrite, therefore please ensure this information is correct before submitting.

By inputting your email address into Eventbrite, you are giving us permission to contact you about the training course that you are enrolling on to. The Training Team do not take responsibility for any incorrect email addresses entered into Eventbrite OR the certificate form. Based on this information, please ensure that all contact information is correct before submitting your details.

We've put together details on how to book and how to join a session, please follow these links for further information:
