The QNCRHTT is a network of CRHT teams, who facilitate quality improvement and service development, and encourage the sharing of best practice, to assure and improve the quality of CRHT services for people with acute mental illness and their carers.
The standards of accreditation provide a clear and comprehensive description of best practice in CRHT teams. Teams who join the scheme are required to provide evidence of how they are meeting the standards, in the form of written evidence, through interview and peer review.
The standards cover the following areas;
- Service provision and structure
- Staffing and training
- Assessment, care planning and treatment
- Patient and carer experience
Steve Davies, MPFT’s Operational Manager for Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire CRHTs said: “We are very proud of both CRHT teams’ achievements. To attain accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists is a great accomplishment and is held in high regard.
“Accreditation is an acknowledgement from peers of the teams’ experience, accomplishments and commitment to continually improve and develop our service provision in line with best practice. I would like to extend my congratulations to everyone involved.”
The Shropshire CRHT received their accreditation in July and the Telford & Wrekin CRHT achieved their accreditation earlier this year.
