People from Shropshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are invited to join Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) in celebrating the physical and mental health, learning disability and adult social care services that the Trust provides at a celebration event next week.

The Trust festival held on Wednesday 12 September 2018 will see staff from MPFT welcome members of the public and special guests to visit exhibition stands and join in activities illustrating some of the many services offered by the newly merged NHS trust, which provides services in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and beyond.

Martin Gower, Chairman of MPFT said: “The celebration event promises to be a vibrant and engaging occasion and I encourage everyone to come along and be a part of it. We want to introduce our new organisation and demonstrate how we are already working together to improve the care we can offer to local people by integrating and streamlining our services.”

The event will be themed around the NHS’ 70th birthday and the Trust will be serving afternoon tea whilst showcasing photos and items from local health service history. Visitors are invited to contribute to a virtual museum by sharing their stories from the NHS and bringing along their own mementos and artefacts which will be captured on film.

Everyone is welcome to join the event on Wednesday 12 September at the Learning Centre, St George’s Hospital, Stafford from 10am. The day will conclude with the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting which starts at 1.15pm.
