Fiona Moore, Head of Experience and Involvement at MPFT said: “Our mission as a Trust is to make life better for our communities and to do this it is vital we involve service users, carers and the community as a whole in helping to shape the services we provide, which is why we look to hold events such as ‘Listen and Respond’.
“This year the event will focus on the introduction 12 months ago, of the remodeled community services from traditional community mental health teams to clinical care pathways.
“We are looking to have tables manned by representatives from each of the pathways – the Psychosis pathway West Shropshire, the Community Interventions pathway (formally known as Non-Psychosis), the Intensive Life Skills pathway and the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) pathway.
“People who receive or have a particular interest in those services will then be able to give their views directly to the representative of that pathway who can answer queries/concerns directly about the changes and what impact this had on recovery and overall experience.
“Further “Listen and Respond” events are planned as it is vital that we provide an opportunity for other areas we cover to take part – our next event is planned in North Staffordshire with a further event in South Staffordshire to follow.”
