After last week's win at the Digital Leaders 2022 Awards we are delighted to share another great success for MPFT related to our ongoing digital transformation.
Today we were announced winners of the Future NHS Award at the NHS Parliamentary Awards for our work on reaching the digitally excluded in their homes through the provision of digital technology.
On the day, our award was one of only 9 other winners from over 700 nominations across the country. We were commended on our approach to overcoming digital exclusion through further digital innovation.
MPFT Digital staff have worked alongside a number of our clinical and care teams to understand the barriers to engaging with our services digitally and deployed 2 different types of easy-to-use devices to allow people to access their care, as well as providing a platform for their own social engagement.
The clinical and care teams who have deployed these devices have worked hard to develop their own digital skills, and then introduced this new technology to people who may not have used any digital devices before.
We also recognise the support that those within our MPFT Digital teams have provided to this success, especially through project management and digital skills development. Good collaboration between corporate, clinical and care teams as well as partnership working with our 3rd party supplier have again been key factors for this success.
It is really encouraging to see the outputs from the digital strategy being recognised through these national award wins, but most importantly it recognises the enhancements we are making to care through digital innovation.
